Outright Purchase If you choose an Outright Purchase, you buy your PowerHome hub, solar panels, and battery storage upfront at standard retail pricing. Because you fully own the hardware, you retain 100% of the profits generated by the Virtual Power Plant (VPP) trading.
Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is a "Zero-CapEx" model designed to eliminate the barrier to entry. Instead of paying upfront for expensive hardware, a dedicated green infrastructure fund purchases and installs the equipment on your property for £0. In exchange, the system automatically trades on the energy grid (buying low, selling high). Power retains an 80% share to pay off the hardware costs over a 25 year term, while you keep the remaining 20% as direct savings.
